This is a lead engineer position responsible for designing and developing OSA (Optical Sub-Assembly) for highspeed fiber optics transceivers with high performance and high manufacturability. The role involves working closely with the transceiver module engineering group to develop and define the OSA architecture, as well as collaborating with optical, mechanical, RF design, process, and test engineers in the OSA organization. The candidate will be familiar with active components such as laser diodes, PINs, and PICs, and will work closely with both internal and external active/passive component suppliers to develop the necessary lasers, PDs, ASICs, PICs, and passive optical components. Additionally, the candidate will develop and define the specifications for these subcomponents used in the OSA design, specify the development/production test requirements, and have hands-on experience with optoelectronic device testing to understand performance and reliability corners. The role also requires coordination with program management and various divisions within the company to manage the program schedule.
