About The Position

At Vision Integrated Partners, we are a busy ophthalmology practice seeking an experienced Optical Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The position requires the individual to meet the Basic Requirements and satisfactorily perform all or any combination of the Tasks and Responsibilities. This role focuses on customer service, sales support, and assisting patients with eyewear selection while supporting the overall operations of the optical department. This is a Monday - Friday, day shift position with no weekends and no holidays. This position will require traveling to multiple Kansas City locations. Requirements

• Ability to assist customers with eyewear selection based on comfort, lifestyle, and budget
• Basic computer skills required
• Good communication and organizational skills
• High degree of reliability, dependability, and accuracy
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to handle and manage stressful situations
• Ability to manage patients’ occasional anger, fear, or hostility in a professional manner
• Minimum High School graduate or equivalent
• Ability to establish and maintain positive patient rapport

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one (1) year previous retail, sales, or customer service experience
• Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience or training
• Previous medical office or insurance experience or training

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors courteously and professionally
• Answer telephones appropriately and direct calls as needed
• Assist customers with frame and lens selection
• Provide information regarding optical products, pricing, and promotions
• Maintain accurate patient and sales records
• Assist with purchasing, stocking, and maintaining frame inventory
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical area
• Assist with daily reports, including basic sales and cash flow documentation
