Requirements

A high school graduate or equivalent (required)
Excellent communication and listening skills to properly address patient needs (required)
Customer Service or service-related experience is a plus (required)
ABO Certification or Licensed in state outside FL. (required)
Ability to interpret spectacle prescriptions.
Assist in patient frame selection.
Knowledge of the latest technology in lens designs
Skilled in frame adjustments and repairs
Explanation and application of vision insurance benefits
Use of computer order entry and verification of eyewear order accuracy for quality control
Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and manage time accordingly to meet deadlines and requirements of the organization.

Responsibilities

Listen and address needs of patients as evidenced by company standards and policies.
Answer the phones, and communicate patient’s needs to the Opticians and Technicians.
Efficiently take orders for contact lenses, create contact lens encounters and order lenses from ABB or another supplier.
Navigate insurance websites to assist patients with the available benefits and costs associated with their plan.
Sell and create encounters for accessories.
Learn the lensometer.
Oversee Frame Inventory.
