About The Position

The Optical Retail Sales Associate at Eyemart Express is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the optical retail environment. This role involves guiding patients in selecting eyeglass frames and lenses, ensuring accurate measurements, and overseeing the production process to deliver quality eyewear. The associate will also educate patients on eyeglass care and maintain up-to-date product knowledge to enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Optical industry experience is a plus!
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service using optical expertise to meet customer needs.
• Stay informed about sales, promotions, and company policies.
• Process payments and refunds using the Point of Sale system.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care and maintenance.
• Process insurance claims accurately.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and create patient files confidentially.
• Interpret prescription requirements and take necessary measurements.
• Prepare work orders and inspect final products for accuracy.
• Adjust and repair frames as needed.
• Price, stock, and organize merchandise.
