  • Perform testing and resolve a wide range of 1830 PSS Network faults, including documentation questions, support for software upgrades, configuration management, and hardware fault isolation.
  • Review proposed features and conduct requirement analysis, develop validation plans and test procedures for 1830 optical networking systems for each new release.
  • Automate test suites/test cases using Python language and regression tests using batch process tools to uncover issues in the software.
  • Perform functional, scalability, performance, stress, and system functional testing of the desired/designated new feature development in the optical networking domain.
  • Identify and support debugging of software bugs, fix them, and retest until the required quality is achieved.
  • Accountable for quality and accuracy of own output.
  • Responsible for contribution to teamwork.
  • Carry out tasks/activities according to assignment and set guidelines.
  • Demonstrate initiative and adaptability to changing business environments.
  • Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Murray Hill, NJ may be permitted up to 40%.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
  • Or a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience.
  • Must have 1 year of experience with data networking protocols and technologies, including layer 2 ethernet switching and layer 3 protocols on metro ethernet switches and core routers.
  • Experience with telecom optical specifications and standards.
  • Testing quality and validation of functionality of DWDM Optical Transport networking systems, Routers, Carrier Ethernet switches, IP DSLAM, IP or TDM networks.
  • Automation tools/automation framework development using Python, Perl, and Shell.
  • Integration, testing, and troubleshooting of the 4G/5G network.
