Optical Lab Technician - Eyeglasses

About the position

The Lab Technician assists the Lab Manager in the operations of the lab ensuring quality and same day service standards are met. Eyeglass World is part of National Vision, one of the largest optical retailers in the United States, with over 100 locations across the country. The brand offers eye exams, contact lenses, eyeglasses, sunglasses, and protective eyewear, keeping customers happy with affordable prices and same-day service via in-store labs.

Responsibilities

• Operate all lab machinery to fabricate quality eyewear that conforms to Company standards and tolerances.
• Perform machine maintenance.
• Ensure store cleanliness and waste disposal policies are adhered to at all times.
• Maintain awareness of same day service using 'Ready When Promised' production board.
• Accurately and promptly complete all required paperwork/documentation.
• Build strong, supportive, and constructive relationships with doctors, peers, and company leaders.

Requirements

• Previous lab experience is preferred.
• Ability to learn how to operate and maintain lab machinery and equipment.
• Detail oriented. Must be able to accurately transcribe words and numbers.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Achieve and maintain the highest level of customer service.
