About The Position

The Optical Lab Technician at Eyeglass World plays a crucial role in the operations of the lab, ensuring the fabrication of quality eyewear that meets company standards and tolerances. This part-time position emphasizes the importance of same-day service and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. The technician will work closely with the Lab Manager and contribute to a supportive team atmosphere while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Laboratory experience preferred.
• Ability to learn how to operate and maintain lab machinery and equipment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately transcribe words and numbers.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Ability to achieve and maintain the highest level of customer service.
• Open availability.

Responsibilities

• Operate all lab machinery to fabricate quality eyewear that conforms to company standards and tolerances.
• Perform machine maintenance.
• Ensure store cleanliness and adherence to waste disposal policies.
• Maintain awareness of same-day service using the 'Ready When Promised' production board.
• Accurately and promptly complete all required paperwork/documentation.
• Build strong, supportive, and constructive relationships with doctors, peers, and company leaders.
