The position involves assisting designers in prototyping new products, testing alignment GUI, and software. The role requires optimizing integration procedures and training operators. Daily responsibilities include cleaning optical components under a microscope, setting up optical alignment stations, and manually handling, aligning, and installing diverse optical components while monitoring and adjusting optical parameters to meet specifications. The individual will also perform optical performance tests, apply and cure UV glues, inspect their own work according to quality specifications, and ensure that their work meets strict quality criteria. Additional duties include performing incoming inspections, being cross-trained for upstream and downstream operations, loading and unloading alignment stations, entering numerical data correctly, and documenting suggestions for continuous improvement. Maintaining a good record concerning absenteeism and tardiness is also essential.
