Requirements

  • Electronic, RF, and fiber optic test systems experience.
  • Electronics test setup troubleshooting.
  • Optical fiber module/component test and design experience.
  • Fiber splicing experience.

  • Extensive experience supporting production of high reliability assemblies in an AS9100 environment.
  • Familiar with operation of network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
  • Familiarity with using lab test equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and test results.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
  • Ability to obtain a secret level clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate electrical and fiber optical test systems, products, and components applying knowledge of RF, electrical, and optical testing.
  • Experience with fusion and ribbon fiber optic splicing (SM, PM and specialty fibers).
  • Perform product evaluation and troubleshoot to solve issues.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Write procedures, work instructions or modify existing ones.
  • Maintain written records of evaluations which can be used to improve our processes.
  • Complete projects, train and guide junior technicians.
  • Implement cost effective and efficient processes for production.
  • Maintain test plans and procedures used by operators.
  • Collaborate in developing products to meet customer requirements, by assisting in performing research, and testing manufacturing methods and materials.
  • Comply with company regulations as well as government mandated documentation.
  • Contribute to the team effort in accomplishing tasks to improve processes and efficiencies.
