About The Position

Facilitate the specification, design, and integration of new optics enabled products for the Optics Development Engineering group. Construct complex system models having all critical parameters needed to produce accurate and efficient models of beam shape and size, focal depth, polarization, and transmission. Perform illumination system modeling, simulation of 2D phase grating/diffraction efficiency as a function of illumination spot shape and size as well as the effects of background wavefront errors and other coherent noise artifacts and beam depolarization. Education or experience should include: · Designing, modeling and analyzing optical systems · Optical manufacturing processes · Code V or Zemax Optical software · Statistical lens tolerancing · Ghost and stray light analysis · Design for manufacturing based on capabilities of Optical metrology · Specification of precision opto-mechanical assemblies; and · Data analysis using Matlab or other programs. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
