Requirements

  • PhD or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Physics is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in design, simulations, building, and measurements of optical communication systems
  • Deep understanding of optical communication concepts such as modulation, multiplexing, sensitivity (SNR, BER), nonlinearities, and transceivers
  • Hands-on experience with lasers, optical modulators, optical connectors, optical fibers, optical receivers, and other relevant optical components.
  • Familiarity in simulation tools for optical transceivers
  • Knowledge of key electronic circuit specifications and operations within the optical transceivers (e.g., TIA, modulator driver) is a plus.
  • Relevant research publications and/or patents in optical systems
  • Familiarity in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Matlab, or C
  • Strong technical independent contributor with a proven ability to drive results
  • Excellent teamwork, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones and deliver under pressure with strict deadlines
