About The Position

Raritan Valley Community College's Optical Clinic has an anticipated opening for an Optical Clinic Supervisor. The Optical Clinic Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the optical clinic, ensuring great customer service, efficient workflow, and compliance with industry standards. This role manages and students' performance, and supports the delivery of high-quality optical services, including eyewear dispensing and vision care.

Requirements

• Must be a license Optician in the State of New Jersey.
• Must possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in an optical or healthcare setting.
• Must have knowledge of optical products, lens technology, and vision care procedures.
• Proficiency in clinic management.
• Strong leadership and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily clinic operations, including eyeglass and contact lens orders.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate optical students to maintain high service standards.
• Resolve student concerns promptly and professionally.
• Promote a positive patient experience and maintain high satisfaction.
• Guide students in fabricating eyewear.
• Manage inventory of frames, lenses, and optical supplies, ensuring accurate stock levels.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Implement best practices for optical dispensing and vision care services.
