Requirements

  • Available to start on campus June 1st
  • Commit to full-time (40 hours/week) research for a duration eight weeks
  • Provide names/contact information of two references
  • Required submission of Curriculum Vitae and Undergraduate transcript
  • Clinical shadowing vaccine requirements: TB, MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Flu
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate excellence in previous academic endeavors

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a laboratory research project under the mentorship of Duke Faculty and lab team
  • Attend structured professional development and networking sessions in research methodology, and career development
  • Participate in clinical activities related to the faculty mentor’s area of research
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff and medical students
  • Deliver a presentation about the research experience
