OPS Tutor
About The Position
Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025,â is excited to announce a part-time opportunity for the position of OPS Tutor with the Learning Commons Department. We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. This position will be responsible for providing small group and one-on-one tutoring services to TSC students in one or more specific areas: Anatomy and Physiology Mathematics (Liberal Arts, Statistics, College Algebra through Calculus) Computer Programming Spanish (must also be able to tutor one more subject/area) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, up to 25 hours per week; Must be available at least 15 hours weekly. Requirements
- successful completion of coursework
- proficient in subjects they are interested in tutoring
- pass a qualifying exam (80% or higher) to tutor in a subject or course
- grade of 'A' in a specific course within one year of the potential start date will qualify an applicant to tutor that subject in lieu of an exam
- Applicants must upload Unofficial Transcripts
- Applicants must upload Recommendation Letter
- Successful hires must be able to attend mandatory training scheduled prior to Semester start, and complete training within set time frames
