Are you passionate about driving logistics excellence? If so, this role offers the opportunity to lead multiple departments, guide high‑performing teams, and ensure the seamless execution of transportation, customs, and warehouse activities. You will help deliver exceptional customer service and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements for the movement of imported and exported goods.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, Minimum four years related experience. Minimum one year supervisory experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Ability to allocate work assignments
  • Proven experience in problem analysis, presentation of alternatives and implementing solutions
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Finance or related discipline preferred or equivalent combination of work experience and education. Three years of industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat Regulations and recordkeeping
  • Some professional certifications may be required.
  • Bilingual-Spanish-Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee three key operational departments, ensuring alignment of processes, service levels, and productivity across all areas.
  • Partner closely with the Operations Manager to support daily operations, strategic planning, budgeting, cost control, and performance analysis.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees and team leads, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Lead staff meetings to review performance, address challenges, communicate updates, and gather feedback for improvement.
  • Address performance issues promptly and consistently in accordance with company policies.
  • Actively participate in employee retention efforts and support training initiatives for staff and internal/external customers.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external partners at all times.
  • Review and validate shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements, ensuring full compliance with U.S. and foreign regulations.
  • Calculate duties, tariffs, conversions, and weights for international shipments.
  • Communicate with customs officials as necessary to resolve delays and clear incoming freight.
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous process improvements within assigned departments.
  • Establish, revise, and uphold policies, procedures, and service standards related to customs clearance and warehouse operations.
  • Conduct regular audits of shipment documentation and accounting records to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain an adaptable work schedule, including after‑hours on‑call rotation when required.
  • Lead or participate in departmental projects tied to operational improvement or strategic initiatives.
