The Principal Engineer of Connectivity Service Management is a senior technical leader responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of GSK’s global network infrastructure. Support and provide feedback in the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-performance, resilient network infrastructures. Mentor and develop network engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Oversee the day-to-day operations of GSK’s global network, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of network incidents and problems. Aid in the continual improvement of network management and monitoring tools to ensure proactive identification and resolution of issues. Maintain robust network security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities. Ensure network operations comply with relevant security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration tests, addressing any identified risks. Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network performance, reliability, and security. Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and best practices. Manage relationships with network service providers, hardware vendors, and other external partners. Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and stakeholders to understand and meet network requirements. Communicate network performance, issues, and initiatives to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in network engineering and operations, 5+ years in a senior or lead role.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and technologies, including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and others.
  • Experience in network security principles and practices.
  • Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a solid understanding of its technological trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
