About The Position

Coordinates operations within the service area including performance of the check ride function, direct work activities and lead employees, provide training, coaching and mentoring to new and current employees. Perform associated administrative functions as required or directed, subject to approval of management. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Duties Provides assistance to internal/external customers regarding unidentified/undelivered and damaged packages, and to initiate pro-active solutions. Ensures customer satisfaction. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent.
  • Four (4) years experience in a work environment coordinating multiple task functions and researching and solving problems with 24 months customer contact experience and six (6) months FedEx Customer Contact preferred.
  • Must meet approved department proficiency requirements.
  • Ability to operate CRT.
  • Ability to type 25 net wpm.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and to maneuver any single package weighing up to 150 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance from another person.
  • Strong written and oral communication (telephone) skills.
  • Ability to handle stress situations.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Willingness to work different shifts and weekends/holidays based on business needs.
  • Eighteen (18) months courier experience.
  • Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
  • Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
  • Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
  • Neat appearance since customer contact is required.
  • Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
  • Non-covered safety sensitive position.
  • Medical exam required.
