About The Position

The OPS Government Operations Consultant I position at the Florida Department of Health in Broward County serves as a Contract Manager responsible for overseeing contract negotiations, development, and administration. The role involves ensuring compliance with programmatic and administrative requirements, providing technical assistance to contracted providers, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. The consultant will also engage in data entry, report preparation, and participate in community meetings and trainings as directed by the program manager.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license free of major infractions.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • Proficient in business writing and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to complete training in contract management and become a certified contract manager within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts as assigned and develop new contracts, renewals, and amendments according to established procedures.
  • Review and process all related invoices for payment and quarterly financial statements.
  • Monitor assigned contracts for programmatic and administrative requirements and prepare reports.
  • Provide technical assistance and conduct site visits to contracted providers.
  • Develop competitive procurement documents and coordinate the competitive procurement process.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with contractors for consultation and program coordination.
  • Problem solve and mediate conflicts to maintain good working relationships with contracted providers.
  • Perform data entry of contractual information as required.
