Requirements

• The candidate must be 18 years old.
• The candidate must complete a three-day vessel training course once hired.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory Level 1 background check at no cost to the candidate.

Nice To Haves

• Preference will be given to candidates with boating experience and proficiency launching and recovering an outboard vessel.

Responsibilities

• Interview anglers at Lake Trafford by asking specific questions about their catch and harvest of freshwater fish species and other parameters.
• Accurately record detailed data.
• Interview and record data on a data sheet.
• Safely operate, launch, and recover a vessel.
• Operate FWC equipment for FWC business only and in a safe and law-abiding manner.
• Conduct surveys in all weather types including hot, cold, windy, and/or rainy conditions as long as conditions are not dangerous.
