About The Position
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is seeking two energetic and motivated candidates for the position of OPS Fisheries and Wildlife Biological Scientist II. This is a seasonal OPS position that will run from July 1 to October 30, 2025, focusing on the management of nonnative fish and wildlife in Florida, particularly the removal of Argentine black and white tegus from public lands southwest of Florida City. The position involves professional representation of the agency and maintaining good working relationships with the public and partners. The incumbent will work independently, driving state vehicles on unpaved roads and solving problems in the field.
