About The Position

To perform a wide variety of landscape maintenance functions related to the daily performance of contracted services. This includes communication with the customer, tracking and completion of Customer Service Requests, planning and scheduling the services to be performed, and working alongside landscape maintenance crew(s) to complete the tasks. The Operations Field Manager is also responsible for assisting with safety training, equipment maintenance, payroll reporting, completion of services, and reporting progress to the Operations and/or Branch Manager. Additional service may be required upon request of the Operations Manager or Branch Manager. Responsible for managing a landscape maintenance account for regular maintenance, water management, seasonal color, chemical and all aspects of landscape. Responsible for field quality control. Assists in training and advancement of crew members and leaders.

Requirements

  • Employee must be at least 18 years of age for general landscaping responsibilities and to operate power equipment.
  • Two years of previous commercial experience as a crew leader, preferred.
  • Technical skills in all areas of landscape maintenance such as mowing, trimming, pruning, edging, etc.
  • Knowledge of irrigation, tree trimming, and chemical application.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with required classifications and insurability based on company insurance requirements.
  • DDC Driving Certification.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Pesticide License, preferred.
  • OSHA 10 Hour certification.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all responsibilities required of a Crew Leader plus additional duties.
  • Responsible for weekly payroll and overtime of assigned employees.
  • Schedule crew(s), equipment, and materials for work order completion.
  • Train all assigned employees and their advancement.
  • Educate assigned employees on company safety policies and hold mandated tailgate meetings.
  • Ensure crew(s) are using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor that all maintenance of equipment is scheduled and being done regularly.
  • Inventory products and materials needed and used for jobs.
  • Report, track and close Customer Service Requests (CSR’s).
  • Communicate with customers and Operations and/or Account Managers concerning CSR issues.
