This is a responsible environmental health position that conducts activities for programs in the Environmental Public Health (EPH) department.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Knowledge of general office proceedings
• Skilled in basic computer usage
• Skilled in time management
• Skilled in organizing work
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift 50 pounds
• Ability to operate technical equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read site and floor plans
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions
• High school diploma
• Valid Florida driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Conducts inspections, reviews and/or investigations based on state and local code for: Public swimming pools Bathing places
• Completes activities related to water sampling and testing. This includes but is not limited to: Beach water Special projects Drinking water
• Conducts inspections, reviews and/or investigations based on state and local code for additional environmental public health programs as requested.
• Provides support to the EPH front desk as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
