About The Position

·Investigate activities related to reported lab results for STD’s (HIV, Syphilis, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia) ·Initiates appropriate investigation and follow up of STD’s (may include field visits) ·Acts as liaison to local hospitals, physicians, laboratories and the state Division of Disease Control and Health Protection to ensure the health and safety of the community. ·Provides HIV/AIDS information to medical staff, general staff and the public ·Refer new STD cases to the STD Clinic ·Utilizes Surveillance Tools and Reporting System (STARS) to monitor cases, perform timely documentation and accurate closure of cases. ·Facilitates Mama Bear Program and follows exposed newborns for first 6 months to track for serorevert or convert. ·Has need for full access to social security numbers to perform their duties. ·Compiles, organizes and analyzes data for monthly, semi-annual and yearly reports. ·A vehicle and valid Florida driver’s license is required. ·People First time sheet, work activity reports (EARs) entry within the required time frame. ·Notifies supervisor with phone call in the event of any tardiness or absence. ·Completion of mandatory or assigned trainings within the required time frame including staff meetings. ·Subject to Emergency Duty in the event of a natural disaster. ·Provides other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on Microsoft based programs? (Outlook, Teams, Excel)
  • Knowledge of EHR (Electronic Health Records)
  • Ability to Investigate activities related to abnormal labs (i.e. STD's)
  • Must be willing to accept this salary if offered the position
  • Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the positions
  • Must have current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • Must have valid Driver's License.
