The part-time Optometry/Ophthalmology Technician at Community Medical and Dental Care Inc. plays a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced medical center. The technician is responsible for greeting patients, assisting providers during exams, and maintaining patient confidentiality while ensuring the cleanliness of the exam rooms. The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them to treatment rooms in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
- Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit
- Assist provider with exam
- Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records, completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding
- Upkeep of cleanliness of the exam rooms, ensuring all equipment is clean and presentable
Requirements
- Previous ophthalmology/optometry experience required
- Strong computer skills and fluency in EMR system
- Friendly personality that can connect with clients and staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
