This is an excellent opportunity for an ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in surgical retina to provide high-quality services in a well-supported group practice environment with a built-in referral base. Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to: - evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment for vitro-retinal conditions - treat retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, etc. - perform retinal examinations - review patient histories - order / interpret tests (OCT, photos, fluorescein angiograms, etc.) - prescribe medications - formulate ongoing treatment and management plans - collaborate with PCPs, optometrists, and ophthalmologists - communicate with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care The new ophthalmologist will perform both office-based procedures and outpatient surgical procedures, including: - intravitreal injections - focal and pan-retinal photocoagulation - laser of retinal tears - pars plana vitrectomy - scleral buckling - epiretinal membrane peeling - macular hole repair A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon setting, physician preference, and patient needs. All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants. The practice uses the Epic EHR.
