Kaiser Permanente - Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking an hourly locums BE/BC Ophthalmologist to join our group practice. This position is based at the Tacoma Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, with occasional coverage needs in Olympia and Silverdale, WA. Our ophthalmologists provide comprehensive consultative and surgical services for a variety of eye diseases and problems including cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, eye muscle problems, glaucoma, and other serious eye disorders. Our award-winning team of board-certified ophthalmologists includes fellowship-trained subspecialists in pediatric ophthalmology, glaucoma, corneal disease, retina, oculoplastic and orbital disease. Tacoma Medical Center is comprised of Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Endocrinology, Eye Care, Occupational Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Social Work Services. Lab, Pharmacy, and Radiology on site. Office hours are 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Washington state.
  • Experience in providing comprehensive eye care.

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology, glaucoma, corneal disease, retina, or oculoplastic and orbital disease.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive consultative and surgical services for a variety of eye diseases and problems.
  • Address conditions such as cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, eye muscle problems, and glaucoma.
  • Collaborate with a team of board-certified ophthalmologists and subspecialists.
