About The Position

Our thriving ophthalmology practice is currently seeking a testing technician to assist our healthcare team with patient exams. The successful applicant will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information of patient visits. The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to be compromised.

Requirements

• Highschool degree or equivalent required.
• Entry level position – will train the right employee.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer someone to be able to work out of all clinics - Lombard, Elgin and Chicago

Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for ophthalmic patients on the testing schedule.
• Will accurately perform the following tests: Visual Field exam, ERG, VEP, Fundus Photo, OCT G, OCT M, PHP and DAF.
• Note mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and check to correct information to reduce errors.
• Attach all test results to the appropriate patient chart.
• Alert the provider when charts are incomplete.
• Inform ophthalmic technicians if there are any problems getting accurate results.
• Notify clinical supervisor when supplies that are needed for testing are running low.
• Other duties as assigned.
