About The Position

At Prado Vision, a Sight360 Company, we are building the region’s premier destination for comprehensive vision care. We are a team of over 130 optometrists, ophthalmologists, surgeons, opticians, and eye care professionals serving more than 100,000 patients across 15 different locations in the Greater Tampa Bay area. From routine eye exams and optical retail, to medical optometry, ophthalmology, and surgical procedures, our patients experience end-to-end personalized care and service.

Must remain employed for 12 months to obtain full hiring bonus. Bonus will be paid over 12 months.

Hourly rate commensurate with experience will pay higher rate for current COA or COT.

Requirements

• Minimal of one year in Ophthalmology
• Bi-lingual - English/ Spanish (fluent)
• Ability to perform manifest refraction is required
• Ability to perform tonometry is required.
• Ability to effectively multitask
• Attentive to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and recording patient medical history
• Instructing patients on post-operative care, medication use, contact lens care and exam expectations.
• Performing visual acuity testing, auto and Manifest Refractions (measurements for the glasses prescription), tonometry (measuring eye pressure)
• Measuring pupil size and reactivity using PERRLA
• Testing elements of movement (eye muscle function)
• Performing confrontational visual field testing, pachymetry (Corneal thickness measurement)
• Performing dry eye testing including Zone Quick and TBUT, Interferometry, brightness acuity testing
• Participating in light cleaning of the facility
• Maintaining a sanitized environment
• Performing corneal topography, retinal nerve fiber layer measurements, retinal thickness and topography, fluorescein angiography, B-scan ultrasonography
• Assisting with contact lens fitting and instructing patients on insertion and removal of contacts.
• Preparing for and assisting with in-office procedures including consenting patients
• Assisting with Lasers or minor procedures
