This is a benefited, part time position, with 8-hour day shifts anytime between 7am and 5pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Scripps Clinic Encinitas. May float to other clinic sites as needed. Requirements
- Current BLS card for Healthcare Professional from American Heart Association (AHA).
- Additional requirements vary according to specialty and duties performed in business unit.
Nice To Haves
- One year experience in optometry and in ophthalmology.
- Ophthalmic Technician Certificate preferred.
- Completion of a certified Ophthalmic Technical program preferred.
- Ability to scribe.
- Experience using Epic.
Responsibilities
- Performing patient assessments and technical skills to accurately assess the ophthalmic status of each patient, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate.
- Educates patients and documents patient interactions.
- Practices infection control.
- Contributes to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care.
- Managing technician schedules, supply and medication ordering and inventory
