Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of health related or patient care experience.
  • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary patient interviews and record relevant data such as chief complaint, health history, medications, and allergies for the physician's review.
  • Measure vitals when necessary.
  • Prepare patient and exam rooms for all procedures and provide assistance to physicians for procedures.
  • Clean and restock exam rooms including restock of supplies, equipment and medications.
  • Review expiration dates of supplies and medication and take appropriate action.
  • Assist physicians as required and perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Conduct a variety of eye examinations and testing as directed by physician.
  • May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
