About The Position

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you’ll be a vital part of the patient care team—supporting optometrists and ophthalmologists while helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit. This is a hands-on role with a mix of patient interaction, clinical learning, and teamwork in a fast-paced, supportive clinic environment.   No prior ophthalmic experience? No problem. We provide on-the-job training and a company-paid certification pathway, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in healthcare.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior ophthalmic or medical experience is helpful—but not required!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for eye exams by explaining testing procedures in a clear, reassuring way
  • Perform preliminary diagnostic testing and additional tests as requested by providers
  • Assist optometrists and ophthalmologists during patient exams and procedures
  • Help manage patient flow and scheduling, communicating delays when needed
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, including cleaning instruments and tracking supplies
  • Create a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and staff
  • Support the care team with additional responsibilities as needed
