About The Position

At Palm Beach Eye Center, we are looking for an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing team! We have openings at both our Delray and Lake Worth locations! As an ophthalmic technician in our state-of-the-art practice, you will be: Experienced in a fast-paced clinic environment. Efficient and accurate at interviewing patients and documenting histories. Able to ensure charts are updated and accurate. Demonstrated working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, and ocular medications. Experienced with HVF, Lensometry, Keratometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Amslers, Muscle Fields, Pupil Exams, and Refracting. Proficient with EMR computer programs.

Requirements

  • Strong Ophthalmic Tech experience
  • Refractions experience
  • Experience with checking vision and identifying chief complaint
  • IOP
  • Knowledge of various diagnostic tests (Fundus photos, OCT, Visuals)
  • Strong hospitality, customer service, and patient care skills
