Responsible for daily patient care flow. Performs a number of data collection functions as delegated by the physician and/or Clinic Manager to allow for proper professional diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients’ condition(s). Essential Functions Acquaint all new patients with office procedures to which they will be exposed. Obtain patient history to include chief complaint, history of present illness, medical history (ocular and general), family history (ocular and general), and history of allergies and medications to provide accurate information to Ophthalmologists. Performs accurate and consistent documentation and measurement tasks for new and follow-up patients: Vision acuity, lensometry, entrance tests, contact and non-contact tonometry, refraction, slit lamp exam, angle assessment, and dilation. Manage patient flow efficiently, ensuring minimal wait times and a smooth patient experience. Maintains and cleans all equipment being used and adheres to strict infection control protocols and safety standards. Maintains utmost patient confidentiality. Other duties assigned.
