About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: In accordance with established departmental standards, guidelines and protocols, assists the medical staff in examining and caring for children with eye problems. Performs skilled eye examinations which include, but are not limited to: medical history, age appropriate visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, orthoptics, and instillation of eye drops. Works with clinical staff to insure efficient clinical flow and excellent clinical environments. Responsible for daily patient care and flow of clinic activities.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent
• 1 Year of Experience
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Displays consistent professionalism
• The ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of PC functionality

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree
• 2 Years of Experience
• Previous experience, certification or training in this or similar position is strongly preferred
