About The Position

The position involves performing a comprehensive ophthalmic assessment on ocular patients and conducting diagnostic tests as indicated or requested by the ophthalmologist. The role requires functioning autonomously as part of an integrated team of ophthalmic support services. Additionally, the position includes performing patient education regarding the treatment of ocular conditions and preventative care.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED.
  • Two years' experience as an ophthalmic assistant.
  • Technical and diagnostic skills to perform comprehensive ophthalmic assessments.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective keyboarding skills.
  • COA certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • COT or COMT certification preferred.
