Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the eye, optics, testing techniques, utilization of equipment relative to position.

  • Efficient on computers, type at least 30 wpm

Nice To Haves

  • COA, COT, or COMT certification

Responsibilities

  • To perform an extensive number of data collection functions as delegated by the physician to allow for proper professional diagnosis of patients and to do so in a way that instills patient confidence in the treatment.
  • Demonstrate ophthalmic technician skills.
