About The Position

Wolfe Eye Clinic is seeking to add a full-time Ophthalmic Retina Technician based in their West Des Moines Clinic. This role involves performing various patient work-ups, documenting patient history, conducting diagnostic tests such as visual field testing and OCTs, measuring eye pressure, and performing lensometry assessments. The technician will also be responsible for disinfecting and maintaining clinical equipment, and preparing, entering, and maintaining patient electronic health records. The position requires excellent patient service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Some day-time travel is required, with mileage and time on the road reimbursed for travel outside the base clinic.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient work-ups
• Document patient history
• Perform visual field testing
• Measure eye pressure
• Take diagnostic images such as OCT’s

• Prepare, enter and maintain patient electronic health records
• Other clinical duties as assigned
