We are pleased to offer services ranging from LASIK laser eye surgery, LenSx® Laser Cataract Removal, oculoplastics, glaucoma treatment, in addition to routine eye exams and contact lens fittings. Job Summary: We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician who is self-motivated and has a strong work ethic to join our successful surgical practice! Candidates must possess a positive professional attitude, ability to develop strong connections with our patients, treat patients with warmth and empathy, are team oriented and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply complex concepts to their daily work. The right candidate will possess skills of an Ophthalmic Technician and will have experience in scribing, patient work-up, vision testing, refracting, medical terminology, assisting the physician in the room, visual field and OCT testing.

Requirements

  • Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
  • Previous experience within the medical field (preferred)
  • High school or equivalent education
  • Skills of an Ophthalmic Technician
  • Experience in scribing
  • Experience in patient work-up
  • Experience in vision testing
  • Experience in refracting
  • Experience with medical terminology
  • Experience assisting the physician in the room
  • Experience with visual field and OCT testing
