Specialists in retina eye problems such as macular degeneration, retina tears and other retinal diseases, the Retina Health Center has been providing services to Southwest Florida patients since 2002. Job Summary: Retina Health Center is looking for Ophthalmology professionals as well as people that are looking to make a career change and would like to join our fabulous growing team. An Ophthalmic Assistant works with the ophthalmologists to provide patient care by performing many different eye-related clinical functions. Ophthalmic Assistants help care for patients by taking histories, performing various procedures and tests, and preparing patients to see the doctor. Their work provides the ophthalmologists with important information to help diagnose and treat patients.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills are a must!
  • Previous experience in healthcare and/or customer service
  • Team player with strong organizational skills, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support a busy Ophthalmic Retina practice
  • Assist with patient procedures
  • Perform Ophthalmic tasks and diagnostic testing
