With fourteen locations, over 40 providers and the best and brightest team members, Center For Sight is proud to be named the #1 practice in the area.   Job Summary: We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Assistant with a strong work ethic and desire to have a long-term career with a successful optometric team.  The ideal candidate will have experience in patient work-up, visual acuity, refracting, visual fields, OCT, tonometry, and contact lens insertion and removal.

  • Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
  • High school or equivalent education
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply complex concepts to their daily work.
  • Ability to develop strong connections with our patients, communicating with warmth and empathy.
  • Team oriented individual who finds fulfillment in helping and supporting others.
  • Motivated and resilient individual who is on a path to grow a meaningful career within a successful comprehensive eyecare practice

Nice To Haves

  • CPOA or COA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform optometric pretesting including, but not limited to, visual acuity, auto-refraction, manual refraction, tonometry, topography, OCT, visual field, manual lensometry. Record chief complaint, medications, and medical history.
  • Assist patients with contact lens insertion, removal, and care compliance training.
  • Assist and provide patients with excellent customer service and any necessary information regarding treatment
