As an ophthalmic assistant at Carolina Eyecare, you will receive hands on training that prepares you for a fulfilling career in ophthalmology. In this role, you will learn the skills required to become an ophthalmic assistant – one of the most sought after type of medical professionals in the country! Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

Previous experience within the medical field (preferred)
willing to train the right person, experience in optometry or ophthalmology a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist and provide patients with excellent customer service and any necessary information regarding treatment
Conduct tonometry tests to measure intraocular pressure
Measure visual acuity.
Take and document patients' medical histories.
Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications.
Conduct visual field tests to measure field of vision.
Instruct patients in the care and use of contact lenses.
