About The Position

Overview: Fulltime, benefits eligible role Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm Job Description Summary: Supports the patient care functions of the Eye Clinic, performing tests and assisting procedures under the supervision of an Ophthalmologist, Optometrist, or RN Clinic Leader. Job Description: Essential Functions: Tests visual acuity, stereo vision, and color vision. Conducts visual field testing using both the Goldman Perimeter and Humphrey Visual Fields Analyzer. Evaluates ocular anatomy, ocular motility and papillary responses. Assists physicians with exams and procedures as needed. Performs autorefraction and ophthalmic photography for both external and fundus photos Accurately records information in electronic medical record according to established standards and physician’s requirements. Maintains and cleans ophthalmic instruments and equipment. Provides instruction to patients and caregivers as directed by the physician. Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Licensure Requirement: (not specified) Certifications: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant within one year of hire, required. Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant within one year of hire, required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
