About The Position

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a OPEX / CI Engineer in El Paso, TX. The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading the Lean and Six Sigma process development, deployment, training and mentoring with an added focus on the creation and implementation of Lean and Six Sigma strategies, which will lead to improvements in the organization's financial metrics, product delivery performance, employee safety and reductions in product/process variation in manufacturing, non-manufacturing, and administrative areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of continuous improvement experience in assembly and fabrication process in a manufacturing environment
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly (manual and automated).
  • Knowledge in core concepts of Value Stream, Demand Flow Methodologies, 5S, Standard Work, Kaizen Techniques, Visual shop floor concepts, Visual Management Techniques, Measurement Systems of Inputs and Outputs.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully leading and facilitating changes that involve all levels of employees with measurable results.
  • Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD use for manufacturing layouts.
  • Lean/Quality ISO 9001 strong knowledge.
  • Fully Bilingual: written and oral fluency in Spanish & English.
  • Excellent Leadership qualities, ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Lead and advocate for a culture of continuous improvement using Eaton's Lean Six Sigma System (ELSS) and Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).
  • Strategic Lean Implementation: Develop and execute strategic plans to embed lean principles across manufacturing processes, aligning with business growth and operational goals.
  • Operational Excellence Alignment: Direct lean priorities to support key performance metrics such as sales, on-time delivery (OTD), productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Lean & Six Sigma Initiatives: Identify and implement lean and six sigma projects to optimize operations, enhance output, and improve resource utilization.
  • Deploy Lean Tools: Lead the use of Eaton's Lean tools including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, TPM, Standardized Work, and Problem Solving across all functions.
  • Measure & Monitor Progress: Implement effective metrics and lead improvement events that drive measurable gains in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.
  • Change Management Leadership: Drive change management efforts to ensure successful lean adoption and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Process & Layout Optimization: Design and guide installation of new processes, equipment, and layouts to achieve optimal manufacturing costs and efficiency.
  • Training & Development: Lead technical training initiatives and mentor team members to support continuous improvement and cultural transformation.
  • Cross-Site Collaboration: Promote best practice sharing and benchmarking across sites through active engagement with other coordinators and internal networks.
