Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Process Technology degree from an accredited Program; OR at least 5 years' experience as an Operator in a chemical plant, refinery or gas processing plant.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team to operate the Styrene/Ethylbenzene/Utilities Outside and Board sections, Tank Farm, and other systems as required.
  • Ensure compliance with INEOS Styrolution's safe work practices, complete safe work permits, perform JSAs, and actively use and adhere to all operational procedures.
  • Monitor processes, conduct equipment checks, report maintenance issues, secure equipment for servicing, and return equipment to service after maintenance.
  • Conduct rounds, including safety checks, equipment line-ups, and start/stop operations.
  • Load trucks and railcars, catch and deliver samples to the laboratory, and maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Successfully complete required training, participate in unit drills, and serve as an Emergency Response Team member if required.
  • Write and update operating procedures and SOCs to ensure clarity and consistency in plant operations.
