About The Position

The Operator position at Jaguar Transport Holdings involves working in the Transloading group, handling the movement of various customer products and commodities. The role requires backup coverage for material handling operations and rail switching, emphasizing safety, leadership, and operational skills.

Requirements

• High school education or GED.
• Ability to pass training and required testing.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Forklift operating experience required.
• Rail car switching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.
• Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
• Read, write, and communicate in English and understand basic math.
• Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment.
• Operate conveyors, forklifts, and cranes.
• Prepare equipment for product transfer.
• Transfer a variety of product materials to/from railcars and trucks utilizing safe operating procedures.
• Observe radio and hand signals in the work area.
• Complete all applicable documentation, recordkeeping, and daily inventory.
• Bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds alone, twist, climb.
• Participate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other pass on information from team members, management, or customers.
• Climb onto the top and underneath railcars to inspect and seal railcars using a checklist.
• Work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions.
• Work with a team, take direction, and follow work rules.
