JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Operator to join our assembly and fabrication team, specializing in hydraulic motors and steering units . This position involves working with technical documentation, such as blueprints and standard operating procedures (SOPs), to assemble and fabricate components to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, basic math skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and SOPs .
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to perform offsets and simple calculations.
  • Familiarity with standard measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to handle parts and tools with care.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 35 lbs as needed.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
  • Adherence to safety guidelines and company procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in hydraulic systems or component assembly.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical or fabrication processes.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to identify and suggest process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fabricate hydraulic motors and steering units based on blueprints, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet exact specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machine operations, tooling, or part quality.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment to ensure safety and adherence to company standards.
  • Inspect finished parts using various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
