About The Position
This position is responsible for tending to a preset production line by seaming the edges of pieces of glass along a seaming belt, breaking out glass, loading pieces of glass onto a line, inspecting parts, and packing pieces of glass into boxes. Must be able to perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner. Essential Job Functions: Must be able to handle different sizes of glass parts Must be able to seam parts of glass along a seaming belt Maintain cycle time on a pre-set production line Visually inspect and/or measure parts as necessary Report final production output along with defects Must be able to load and remove glass parts from the production line Must be able to work with water Pack finished goods into boxes Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Three (3) months of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to write basic communication and understand on-the-job work standards.
- Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and/or small group setting.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours
