Pay Range - $18 to $22.56 per hour (Ac tual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills. What You’ll Do: As an Operator, you’ll play a hands-on role in preparing, inspecting, and running parts through production machines. You’ll work from written instructions and collaborate with team leads to ensure quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Ability to read and follow verbal/written instructions in English
  • Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings and GD&T
  • Good vision and depth perception for inspection tools
  • Willingness to wear clean-room apparel (finger cots, masks, etc.)
  • Physical capability to meet production demands, including extended standing or walking, routine movement and positioning, fine motor skills for handling small parts and tools, and lifting up to 30 lbs., as required
  • Eligibility to work in an ITAR-regulated environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of experience in a machining environment or Machine Technology certificate preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a continuous and efficient flow of production parts to assigned machines or processes. While tasks may be repetitive, consistent attention to machine operation and detail is required
  • Unload ceramic and other components, inspect parts as needed, and identify, remove, and document any nonconforming materials
  • Accurately record production metrics (e.g., weight, length, ID, OD, density, counts) using basic computer systems.
  • Maintain quality tools and ensure precise recordkeeping
  • Monitor and document machine performance, including conducting required checks every two hours. Perform minor maintenance as needed and promptly report major repair requirements
  • Accurately complete all production documentation, including shift pass-down information.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Adhere to all safety and Quality Assurance standards by properly following departmental machine operating procedures
  • Support the company’s 5S initiatives by maintaining cleanliness and addressing spills or hazards immediately
  • Properly use handheld measuring instruments and provide guidance to less experienced operators on measurement techniques
  • Safely transport parts to and from machines to prevent damage.
  • Cross-train in CMM and other advanced measurement systems
  • Comply with all applicable company policies and standards, including those of Kyocera International, Inc., such as ISO 9000, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, ITAR, and other site-specific regulatory requirements
  • Produce precision components within the time constraints specified on work orders/travelers and provide support to machinists as needed
  • Utilize G-code and M-code commands at the machine controller to make necessary adjustments
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
