About The Position

ONEOK is looking for an Operator (petroleum pipeline) in Odessa, TX. The schedule for this position rotates between days/nights. Job Profile Summary Maintain the pipeline and its supporting operational and monitoring equipment in compliance with regulations, company work practices, and safety standards. Ensure the reliability of equipment, and accurate measurement and quality of product transported through the system. Develop a positive working relationship with carriers.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to: establish, prioritize assignments and complete assignments in a timely manner with supervision
  • Ability to: interact, negotiate, communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions
  • Ability to: use tools and equipment including computers and related software
  • Ability to: apply basic arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Petroleum Tech or related field preferred
  • Three years' experience in a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all product movements in, out and within the terminal and/or station via loading rack, unloading skid, fractionator, or main line, including: mainline operations, transferring product to storage vessels; making valve lineups, operating refined product pumps; performing product sampling, running samples for analysis on in house lab equipment; measurement of location physical stock, meters, and additive variances.
  • Input information into computer programs and perform daily facility inspections.
  • Assist drivers and customers, perform truck rack operations duties.
  • Assist technicians with maintenance duties and perform general maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Participate on the facility emergency response team
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements and implement them into location work practices.
  • Attend and actively participate in safety training meetings.
  • Perform any other tasks that may be assigned.
  • Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.
  • Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.
