About The Position

The Vacuum Truck Operator is responsible for servicing portable toilets, hand wash stations, and holding tanks using a vacuum truck. This role is primarily a driving and sanitation position that involves routine cleaning, waste removal, refilling supplies, and ensuring all units are serviced safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Requirements

Experience operating a vacuum truck or similar equipment is preferred
Strong work ethic and ability to perform hands-on, physical work
Safety-focused mindset with attention to detail
Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
Good organizational skills and ability to complete paperwork accurately
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Willingness to accept after-hours calls when required
Some short-term travel and occasional overnight stays may be required
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
Must be in good physical condition and able to perform manual labor
Ability to lift hoses, operate valves, and work around waste materials

Responsibilities

Operate a vacuum truck to service portable toilets, hand wash stations, and holding tanks
Pump, clean, deodorize, and restock units according to company and environmental standards
Transport waste material to approved disposal facilities in compliance with regulations
Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections (pre- and post-trip)
Complete required driver logs and service documentation accurately and on time
Maintain cleanliness of truck, hoses, tools, and equipment
Provide professional, courteous service while representing the company at customer sites
Follow all company safety policies and environmental compliance requirements
Work independently while managing daily routes and service schedules
Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and near-miss reporting
